What is a high-efficiency ecological classroom?

A high-efficiency ecological classroom is a classroom that is "student-centered." In terms of teaching concepts, it promotes teaching democracy, changing from teaching instead of guiding to teaching and guiding learning. Teachers transform from knowledge transmitters to guides, collaborators, and facilitators of student learning.

Junior high school teachers, in units of their preparation groups, participated fully, delved deeply, and conducted "same-lesson different-teaching" activities. Each preparation group went through processes of collaborative lesson preparation, lesson polishing, lesson discussion, improvement, and selection of the best. The participating teachers were well-prepared, enthusiastic, and had active minds. They used multimedia technology to present lively and engaging lessons to the observing teachers.

The teachers' innovation in teaching concepts, content, and methods was fully demonstrated in the competition, providing a good reference for the exploration of ecological classrooms. Zhou Kaifeng, the executive vice principal of the main school, Yin Jinjun, the vice principal of the main school and principal of the junior high school department, as well as heads of grades and preparation group leaders, listened to and evaluated the lessons carefully. Each classroom atmosphere was enthusiastic and exciting, providing all the judges and teachers with a feast of high-efficiency ecological classrooms.

Students' thinking was active in the classroom, and they actively answered questions, following the teacher's train of thought. The cooperation between teachers and students was harmonious. Teachers taught wholeheartedly, and students learned happily. This is the best interpretation of "respecting their teacher" and "believing in their teaching".

Fully student-centered, students in the classroom discussed the questions raised by the teacher in groups. Group discussions facilitate mutual assistance, creating equal opportunities for each member to participate. The group is a collective united by a common goal, and each person has a sense of belonging and identification with the group. This respects individual differences among students, allowing each student to have a successful experience.

Judges and teachers from various subjects carefully listened to and recorded the lessons; among them were teachers from the elementary school department who came to exchange classroom experiences. The judges from each subject examined the teachers' pre-lesson teaching design, teaching concepts, professional qualities, teaching skills, and innovative awareness during the teaching process.

High-efficiency ecological classrooms can create a strong learning atmosphere of mutual inspiration, joint participation, and questioning and exploration between teachers and students, achieving common development for both teachers and students unconsciously. It is also conducive to stimulating students' learning confidence and interest, and cultivating students' practical ability and innovative spirit.
