Respected teachers and dear classmates:

Good morning, everyone! Today, my speech is titled "On the Dream Road, Through Wind and Rain".

Helen Keller once said a very vivid and apt phrase: "When one feels the urge to fly, one will never be content to crawl on the ground." It was because of her dreams that she was able to face the challenges life threw at her, ultimately creating a miracle of life. Dreams can be big or small. If you cannot be a towering tree, then you can be a roadside weed, but you must be the greenest and most vibrant weed; if you cannot be a great river, then be a small stream, but you must be the clearest and brightest stream. No matter how big or small your dream is, "Since you have chosen the distance, you only need to forge ahead through wind and rain"!

Setting a dream is the first step towards success. I remember reading an article about a man whose dream at age 10 was to become a singer; at 20, to sing across America; at 30, to become an all-around musician; and at 40, to become a world-class music master. That man is Quincy Jones, the father of Western modern music. His dreams called to him, spurred him on, and allowed him to constantly strive and improve, growing from an unknown person to a successful master. This shows that dreams can inspire action and lead to success. Therefore, as the future successors of our motherland, shouldn't we start setting our own dreams now? However, dreams alone are not enough. Diligence and effort are crucial, and we must take action. In the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness," there's a line: "If you have a dream, you've got to protect it." A dream is not a fantasy. Although achieving a dream may involve difficulties and setbacks, bringing pain and disappointment, we cannot give up because of them. Sima Qian, to write the monumental "Records of the Grand Historian," tirelessly traveled over mountains and rivers, visiting places to understand historical facts; Li Shizhen, risking his life, lived in a dilapidated hut on a cliff to collect plants, eventually completing the classic "Compendium of Materia Medica." Therefore, in pursuit of our dreams, even if the path is dark, we must explore bit by bit; even if it's full of pitfalls, we must rise from where we fall; even if it's full of thorns, we must bring our determination and effort, forging ahead. "The happiest thing in the world is striving for your dreams." The sense of accomplishment and joy after overcoming difficulties cannot be felt without experiencing them. Having said so much about dreams, how should we students pursue and achieve our dreams?

Dreams are grand, seemingly unattainable, but they are made up of efforts made every minute and second. In our daily lives, are you a manager of your time? Do you let time slip away unnoticed? Are you still striving for your dream university? Are you closer to it, further away, or have you given up? Do you achieve tranquility upon entering a room and focus on learning upon sitting down? Have you tried your best? How many of your goals have you achieved? When faced with setbacks, do you give up or believe in yourself and dare to challenge? If you, like Zengzi, "introspect three times a day," reflecting on these questions daily, I believe you will achieve your dreams. 呢?

In pursuing dreams, the biggest fear is giving up. Life is not always smooth sailing; we will encounter many difficulties and storms. The question is whether we avoid them or weather them. We must use perseverance to face life's storms, confront difficulties, and steadily move forward. Let dreams guide us to success!

Thank you all!

Respected leaders, teachers, and dear students:

Good morning, everyone

It's an honor to speak here today. The title of my speech is "The Most Beautiful Youth is the One That Strives." , Youth is a ship sailing through stormy waves, vigorous and unrestrained. Knowledge is the driving force of the ship of youth, never fading. Those of you in your prime should seize the time, persevere, study hard, and make every minute count.

Our predecessors have set examples for us to strive for our ideals and fight for the future. Through hard work, Andersen went from a shoemaker's son to a fairy tale prince; through hard work, Romain Rolland's twenty years of hard work culminated in "Jean-Christophe"; through hard work, Balzac left behind the precious literary masterpiece "La Comédie humaine"; it was also through hard work that Edison had more than a thousand great scientific inventions; Einstein established the world-shaking theory of relativity; and ancient sages left us with the timeless tales of hanging a beam to study, chiseling a hole in the wall to steal light, and using fireflies to illuminate books.

Perhaps some students will say, "He is so much smarter than me, no matter how hard I try, I can't catch up to him," and then give up. This is just an excuse to stay stagnant and complacent. Moreover, if you can't even compete with others in terms of effort, let alone talent. Remember, this world cannot be supported by intelligence alone. There is a saying: The people around you urge you to study hard, not because they want you to compete with others in grades, but because they hope that you will have the right to choose in the future, to choose meaningful and fulfilling work, rather than being forced to make a living. If you don't endure the hardships of studying now, you will have to endure the hardships of life later.

So, please strive to become a better version of yourself. As long as you are good enough, you deserve all the good things in this world and can choose the life you want. Therefore, starting now, you should know what you want and work hard for it, learn to persevere, don't be afraid, move forward firmly, and one day you will reach the place where flowers bloom for you.

Intelligence is a gift, beauty is a gift, singing is a gift, painting is a gift, but I think the most dazzling gift of all is effort. So, please don't waste your talent.

Don't worry about whether there will be results after your efforts, don't pay attention to the comments and ridicule of others, bravely and fearlessly walk along the path you have chosen... After falling down again and again, getting up again and again, you can live up to this wonderful youth. Redeem this vibrant youth with new glory, a fulfilling and regret-free life, to comfort this spring, suitable for running...

Youth...

My speech is over, thank you all!!! 青春…

我的演讲完毕,谢谢大家!!!

Time is a silent song; time is a traceless wind; time is a one-way ticket. Looking ahead, time seems endless and leisurely; looking back, we realize that life is but a fleeting moment. Ninth graders, the call to the high school entrance examination has sounded; the war drums of the high school entrance examination have been beaten, and we have no choice. In a narrow road, the brave wins; if not now, when? Let us prepare ourselves and dare to aspire to lofty goals; in these thirty days, may you strive for excellence and persevere. After three years of sharpening our swords, we will charge into the pass today, and after a day of testing our sharpness, we will return in June with our heads held high. Students, after nine years of hard study and three years of honing our skills, the long sword will be unsheathed in June. Facing the imminent high school entrance examination, our hands are no longer delicate, our shoulders are no longer immature, our eyes are no longer timid, our spirits are mature and full, our dreams are firm and real, we have no reason to retreat, and we have no excuse to give up. Let us transform the boldness and solemn vows of our youth into practical actions, give our parents a surprise, give ourselves joy, and give the future a bright future! Seventh and eighth graders, in the days to come, I hope you will read more. As the old saying goes: "A person with a rich inner life exudes a natural elegance." Reading can make us magnanimous, upright, talented, and spiritual. Reading makes our thoughts deeper and broader; reading makes our lives richer and more colorful. Children who read are the most beautiful, children who read are the most elegant, and groups of readers are the most civilized. We firmly believe that every good book we read now will make our lives shine brighter at some point in the future. Let us read more and read good books, and with the spirit of "learning until old age," establish the concept of lifelong reading and lifelong learning to enrich our own lives.
