The Yingcheng City 2018 Primary and Secondary School Sports Meet was grandly held in our school

Under the warm sun, the vibrant campus was filled with colorful flags and numerous guests. On November 23rd, the 2018 Yingcheng City Primary and Middle School Athletic Meet was grandly held at our school. Twenty-three strong teams and over 800 athletes from various schools across the city gathered at our school to compete fiercely in 33 events across three categories: running, high jump, and softball (shot put). Ultimately, the Experimental Primary School team and the Experimental Middle School team won first place in the primary and middle school divisions, respectively.

Wang Xiaoping, a county-level leader from the Xiaogan Municipal Education Bureau; Zhang Siming, director of the Yingcheng City Education Bureau; and Liu Chengde, school supervisor and executive principal of Yingcheng Foreign Language School, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Zhao Hongfen, the deputy mayor of Yingcheng City, announced the opening of the athletic meet. Liu Yang, deputy director of the city government office, along with all members of the city education bureau's leadership team, heads of various departments and stations, principals of city schools, and directors of various township school districts attended the opening ceremony.

After the national flag team, emblem team, flower team, and brass band entered, the representatives from each school district and city school entered in succession.

Emblem team: The green letter "Y" and the red letter "C" represent our beautiful Yingcheng, and the red circle represents the nine-year compulsory education in Yingcheng primary and middle schools. It symbolizes the vigorous spirit of our city's primary and middle school students and embodies the spirit of struggle and progress of this grand event.

"Taking Flight" was divided into four parts, showcasing a grand and spectacular scene full of vitality. With youthful melodies, orderly formations, strong movements, and spirited fighting spirit, it fully demonstrated the unity, health, progress, and tenacity of Yingcheng Foreign Language School students, and also showcased the vibrant and prosperous development of Yingcheng's education.

Part 1: "Waiting for the Flowers to Bloom," featuring a hulusi performance of "Moonlight on the Lotus Pond." Millions of flowers blooming represent our beautiful expectations. Integrating education and entertainment, we use music to cultivate sentiments, purify the mind, and achieve dreams. Young boys and girls, with melodious flute sounds, let us listen to the music and wait for the flowers to bloom.

Part 2: "Balance," featuring the Wushu routine "A Man Should Strive." Firm punches and steady steps, every move demonstrates strength, and every relaxation and tension is a melody of life.

Part 3: "Gratitude," featuring a sign language performance of "A Grateful Heart." Expressing gratitude for the nurturing of parents, the guidance of teachers, the help of classmates, and the care of society. Learning to be grateful and using gratitude to illuminate the path forward.

Part 4: "Towards the Future," featuring a running drill. Running is a posture, a persistence, a spirit, and a strength. Let us run on the vast land, striding into a new era, with firm steps, loud slogans, and passionate enthusiasm, towards tomorrow and the future.

Highlights of the competition

After the competition, a brief closing ceremony was held, and the leaders attending the athletic meet awarded prizes to the winning teams.
