A Brief Discussion of Smart Classrooms

  Honorable Respected leaders and dear teachers:

Hello everyone!

Different people have different understandings of September. For many workers who live a regular life, September is unremarkable; for farmers who have worked hard for half a year, September represents a harvest and the joy of abundant fruits; for lively children, September is the start of the school year, the beginning of a new academic year, and the anticipation of new changes; for teachers, this is another great opportunity for testing and learning,

I am the class teacher of Class 8, Grade 2 in the primary school department, a mathematics teacher with limited experience. I am full of expectations and aspirations for the education industry. In the year I have been at this school, I have met many excellent teachers. Working with them, I feel very happy and I feel that I am making progress. I hope that I can help others like them and give their students positive energy. For me, September is a new beginning, with new hopes!

Today, I am honored to be here to share my classroom stories with you and briefly discuss my understanding of smart classrooms. If there are any shortcomings, please criticize and correct them. Thank you!

First, a smart classroom needs smart teachers. Smart teachers should respect every student and help them grow into truly wise individuals.

Respect for students is shown in:

First, it is important to adhere to the examination syllabus and textbook, highlight key points, break through difficulties, and enable students to master key knowledge points effectively;

   Therefore, we must respect the preparation for each class:

     In terms of lesson preparation, we carefully prepare lessons, design lesson types based on the textbook content and students' actual situation, determine the teaching methods to be used, and make detailed records of the procedures and time arrangements for the teaching process, carefully writing lesson plans. Every lesson is "well-prepared," and every class is fully prepared in advance, with various interesting teaching aids to attract students' attention, and carefully collecting the key points of each lesson.

Second, the teaching should be lively and passionate, with fun and laughter in the classroom, so that students are willing to learn and interact with teachers. A teacher who sticks to the rules will hinder the development of students' individuality and stifle their innocence and nature. The times require us to be guides and promoters of students' wise growth, and reflectors and practitioners of our own wise growth. As a teacher, we not only need extensive and specialized knowledge, but also agile and open-minded wisdom. We should use our wise hearts to ignite the minds of our students. "Wise teachers have the courage to make decisions and choices based on the actual situation and challenges faced by their students, and to adjust their teaching behaviors." "They have the charm to make students actively participate in school life, love learning and creation, and be willing to have heart-to-heart conversations with others."

In terms of teaching, we enhance teaching skills, improve teaching quality, make explanations clear, organized, accurate, emotional, and vivid, ensuring that the clues are clear, the levels are distinct, and the explanations are easy to understand. In class, we pay special attention to mobilizing students' enthusiasm, strengthening teacher-student interaction, and fully reflecting students' autonomy, allowing students to learn easily, comfortably, and happily; we pay attention to concise explanations and exercises, minimizing teacher talk and maximizing student participation in speaking, doing, and thinking; at the same time, we fully consider the learning needs and abilities of students at every level in each class, ensuring that students at all levels improve.

Secondly, a smart classroom is a complex and ever-evolving teaching model. Smart classrooms should improve students' abilities, integrate wisdom into moral education, teach students the principles of life, ensure students' mental health, develop students' personalities, and contribute to students' all-round development. Smart education is not only an intellectual category but also an ethical category. "There is a wisdom called teacher morality," which emphasizes the connotation of wisdom from an ethical perspective, especially educational wisdom. Teachers should not only be diligent and hardworking, but also have a good moral image, lofty ideals, and a strong sense of responsibility to influence students. They should also use patience and care to educate each student wisely, devoting themselves wholeheartedly and treating students sincerely. Only in this way can the subtle educational effect of smart classrooms be achieved. The famous special-grade teacher Xue Fagen believes that educational wisdom is naturally generated in the educational process and is a precious spiritual wealth for teachers and students in classroom life. It is not only the teachers' teaching level and teaching wit but also their educational character!

Because the children in our second grade are lively and active by nature, we must find suitable methods to strictly enforce academic discipline. During class, most students are attentive and can concentrate on listening, and they can also complete their homework diligently after class. However, a small number of students are afraid to ask teachers questions about their studies and do not complete their homework on time, which affects their academic performance. To address this, I strictly enforce academic discipline, promoting a spirit of competition and mutual assistance in the class through group competitions, helping some backward students improve their grades.

Regarding homework correction, when assigning homework, I strive to make it targeted, and when correcting homework, I strive to provide individual feedback. I make students' exercises targeted and layered. I correct students' homework promptly and carefully, analyze and record students' homework situations, classify and summarize the problems they encounter in the homework process, provide thorough explanations, and improve teaching methods based on the relevant situations, ensuring that the corrections are targeted.

The wisdom demonstrated by teachers in the classroom mainly includes the following aspects: the wisdom of lesson design, the wisdom of classroom language, the wisdom of role understanding, and the wisdom of on-the-spot response. In short, a smart classroom is not simply a process of knowledge learning; it is a life journey of common growth for teachers and students, an unrepeatable process of the integration and generation of passion and wisdom. To conduct a good smart classroom, teachers must enthusiastically study teaching materials and meticulously research teaching methods, enriching their own wise teaching, so that students will eventually enjoy learning.

A good mathematics class, besides being enjoyable for students, should not shy away from mistakes. If the teacher is perfectly accurate and the students answer fluently without any problems in class, then the teacher's existence is not very meaningful.

Classroom teaching should first focus on the quality of the 40-minute class. Therefore, it is necessary to engage students' attention and encourage their active participation in classroom learning. Before class, students are asked to preview the material. Every time I teach a class, I bring questions to the classroom. Correct answers are rewarded, and the children are enthusiastic. In class, it is important to stimulate students' learning interest through hands-on activities and independent practice, creating a joyful learning atmosphere. In class, questions should be directed to all students, giving them ample time to think, so that they can understand the content being taught. Combining lectures and practice in class allows students to master the knowledge learned. In class, it is also necessary to strengthen teacher-student interaction, allowing students to identify problems and solve them with the teacher in a timely manner, leaving no blind spots.

The above are my personal insights and feelings about mathematics classroom teaching. Please forgive any shortcomings. Although I have made some progress in teaching, I still have a long way to go compared to teachers with many years of experience. In future teaching, I will further mobilize students' learning enthusiasm, diversify teaching methods, and continue to improve my teaching level.
