Honoring the Great Man's Hometown and Carrying Forward the Revolutionary Spirit - School-wide Party Members Conduct Revolutionary Tradition Education in Shaoshan and Ningxiang, Hunan

To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, further enhance the "four consciousnesses," implement the "two maintenances," continuously and effectively promote the Party's ideological and organizational construction, and encourage all the Party members in the school to firmly believe in ideals and beliefs, never forgetting their original intentions, and keeping their mission in mind. From May 25th to 26th, the school organized all Party members and some prospective Party members to go to Shaoshan and Ningxiang red education bases in Hunan Province to carry out a Party education activity themed "Visiting the Great Man's Hometown and Inheriting the Revolutionary Spirit."

The second stop of the activity—visiting the former residence of Comrade Mao Zedong. The great man Mao Zedong was born here and spent his childhood and adolescence here.

Visiting Drip Water Cave. This is a former residence where Chairman Mao lived and worked when he returned to Shaoshan. There is also an exhibition on Chairman Mao's life and achievements. The guidance and explanation of the interpreter allowed us to better understand the magnificent life of Chairman Mao Zedong.

The next day, we went to Huaminglou to visit the former residence of Liu Shaoqi and the photo exhibition of Liu Shaoqi's revolutionary career. Huaminglou, located in Huaminglou Town, Ningxiang County, Hunan Province, is 50 kilometers east of Changsha, the provincial capital, 30 kilometers south of Chairman Mao's former residence in Shaoshan, and 30 kilometers north of Ningxiang County. It is located in the "Changsha to Zhangjiajie" natural scenery area and is a unique hometown of great men in the country. Hometown (Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Peng Dehuai) An important part of the "Red Triangle."

In the afternoon, we visited Orange Isle, a green pearl in the middle of the Xiangjiang River. When we arrived, we saw the half-body statue of young Mao Zedong from afar. The statue is 83 meters long, 41 meters wide, and 32 meters high, highlighting the great man's broad mind and youthful vigor. Chairman Mao faces southeast, with a handsome face, broad forehead, firm expression, and deep eyes, as if looking to the east, overlooking the earth, "worried about the world"; it is also as if he is mobilizing the prairie fire of the "sparks" in the south; the Xiangjiang River flows north, the breeze blows, and the chairman's hair flutters, as if welcoming the revolutionary tide. Integrating culture, history, military, politics, Chairman Mao, who integrated culture, history, military, politics, and strategies into one, was so admirable and fascinating.

The two-day red journey gave all Party members a rich and vivid revolutionary tradition education. The trip to Shaoshan was a baptism of spirit and soul. Everyone said that as a teacher and as an inheritor and successor of the revolution, we should cherish the hard-won happy life, work together, strive for excellence, and shoulder the noble responsibility of teaching and educating people. We should strive to do our job well, play a model leading role, and contribute our strength to the development of the school.
