"My motherland and I, inseparable for a moment, wherever I go, I will sing a song..." Accompanied by the inspiring melody, the CCTV video "My Motherland and I" became a hit online, setting off a tidal wave of patriotism, which is both incredibly proud and deeply moving.

"Motherland" is a great and sacred name, deeply imprinted in our hearts from the moment we are born. However, in an interview program, when a reporter asked five young people what patriotism is, four of them couldn't answer. This is truly thought-provoking. Similarly, when I asked myself the same question, I hesitated. I didn't know how to describe this feeling, as hot as the sun and as vast as the green mountains. The blood of the descendants of Yan and Huang tells me that the answer lies in the long river of history.

Delving into history, dreaming back a thousand years. Looking back at the 5,000-year-long river of Chinese history, different people have interpreted patriotism in different ways. "A hundred battles in the desert, wearing golden armor, not breaking Loulan, I will not return." Wei Qing and Huo Qubing's countless kills in the desert tell me that patriotism means that those who offend China, though far away, will surely be punished; "Since ancient times, who has not died? I will leave my loyal heart to shine through the ages." Wen Tianxiang's last bit of determination in Lingdingyang tells me that patriotism is the supreme national integrity. "I'm not afraid of breaking my bones and body, I want to leave my purity in the world." Yu Qian's roar on the walls of Beijing tells me that patriotism is to stand up in times of crisis and support a collapsing building. However, I see more loyal ministers and righteous men who "weep when writing, not knowing what to say," and literati who "worry about the world before others and enjoy the world after others." Their shouts have transcended millennia and resounded throughout China. When the sparks ignited the earth, some of them used their pens as lights to illuminate the darkness in the hearts of the people. Some of them put on their military uniforms and rushed to the front lines. They dedicated themselves to the country and the people, they went forward one after another, they carried on the legacy and opened up new paths. They have a common name: great patriots.

On the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up, the spirit of patriotism in this era has been given new meaning. The return of Hong Kong and Macao, joining the WTO, rocket launches, hosting the Olympics, economic take-off, and people's happiness... all this is due to the correct leadership of the Party, and to upholding the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics and following the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics. We middle school students are the future leaders of this path. The times are calling, this is an era of change, we must inherit and carry forward the innovative spirit of reform and opening up, pay attention to learning and accumulation in our daily studies, start from small things in life, consolidate our foundation, broaden our horizons, and connect national rejuvenation and national strength with our families and our lives. Establish and uphold our ideals, and strive for them unswervingly. Premier Zhou Enlai's "Study for the rise of China," today we are full of ideals, studying for the prosperity of our motherland, and for the early realization of the Chinese Dream. Faced with new challenges, we young people must unite as one and work together; we young people will set sail, compete with a hundred boats, and break through the waves. We are born for the times, and we will surely advance with the times, be role models for the spirit of the times, and strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

I will not forget that this lovely and vast land was developed and defended bit by bit by our ancestors, and that the bright five-star red flag was dyed with time and blood by revolutionary predecessors. This prosperous and strong China is supported by generations of descendants of Yan and Huang. The times tell me that patriotism is to stand up in times of national crisis, but also to strive for the prosperity and strength of the country in times of peace, to strive for the happiness and stability of the people, and to strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Magnificent, my great motherland!

Let me once again sing with deep emotion: "My motherland and I, inseparable for a moment, the waves are the children of the sea, and the sea is the support of the waves. Whenever I smile, you are the vortex of laughter, always giving me clear waves, the song in my heart" My dearest motherland!

My Proud Motherland

Teachers and classmates:

When diligent sweat accompanies brilliant smiles blooming on this ancient and rich land, when strong struggles become great achievements soaring in this civilized and brilliant sky, when the bright red flag merges ideals and light and flutters in Tiananmen Square, friends, please allow me to use my sincerity to sing her praises—my motherland!

I love you, China; I am proud, my great motherland!

My proud motherland! Thousands of years of history have made you ancient and brilliant. "Five thousand years up and down, ninety thousand li across," from the primitive Xia and Shang dynasties to the prosperous Han and Tang dynasties, you have nurtured generations of people through difficult years; you have used the wisdom of Yan and Huang to compose chapter after chapter. You have the greatness of Qin Shi Huang and Han Wudi who shook the world, you have the beauty of Tang poetry and Song Ci that have been passed down through the ages, you have strong and unyielding children who have gone forward one after another, and you have the demeanor of reform and opening up that looks to the future! Motherland! You nourish a soul like Mount Tai with your thousand-year-old civilization, and you support a spine like the Great Wall with your indomitable spirit. I hear the shout of "I will surely climb to the top, and overlook all the mountains," I hear the boldness of "Ask the vast earth, who is the master?" Motherland, motherland, you make us proud! You have given so many outstanding sons and daughters boiling blood, you are the inseparable mother of tens of millions of Chinese children, even if you are in a foreign country, we can stand tall, because of you, we have supreme glory!

Motherland, motherland, your glorious history makes me proud!

Over a hundred years ago, you slept soundly, your body thus became dilapidated, and your children thus suffered! You worriedly watched your people suffering, you angrily resisted the gunboats of Western powers. Motherland, you have not forgotten the ancient saying "Suffering breeds strength, while ease breeds weakness." You finally let us hear the cry of 1919 and see the figures of revolutionary leaders in Jiaxing Nanhu! My motherland! Did you see your children resolutely running towards the bright red flag of the Communist Party? Did you see your people fighting bloody battles? Yes, without the Communist Party, there would be no New China; without the great people, the blood-stained flag would not have risen over Tiananmen Square! Today, my motherland, standing again on the land of the East, standing among the nations of the world, I am proud, my great mother!

Motherland, your tenacious struggle makes me proud!

Today, you look out at the world, implementing reform and opening up; you stand on your own two feet, attracting the world's attention. Two bombs and one star have been launched, Hong Kong and Macao have returned, the economy has developed, the Belt and Road Initiative has connected friends all over the world, the Chinese dragon has soared into the sky, and the Chinese dream is taking flight! Society is thriving, the people are prosperous and happy, flowers and fruits are everywhere, and the strength of the motherland is stunning the world!

Motherland, my motherland, you are vision and breadth, making me proud!

I love every mountain and every river of my motherland; I will study harder and strive harder, using practical actions to add color to my motherland, making the Chinese dream more brilliant, and letting the Chinese dragon fly higher!

My speech is over, thank you all.

“Holding the Han envoy's staff and herding sheep, working while lying down and getting up, the tassels of the staff are all gone,” Su Wu, who was in a foreign land, was concerned about the Celestial Dynasty. Time took away his appearance, but it could not take away his love for his motherland. This deep affection is why I love my motherland!

Cultural China. Five thousand years of Chinese civilization, a long and profound history. How to grasp and inherit traditional culture is a problem that we, the new youth of today, should solve. The Opium War opened the door to China's modern history, and the country's territory was repeatedly invaded, its culture eroded, and thousands of years of Chinese history was gradually being buried and replaced. It was at this critical juncture that Lu Xun, Chen Duxiu, Li Dazhao and others stepped forward, running and shouting to save China, bravely facing danger. Zhou Enlai's "Study for the rise of China" and Tan Sitong's "I have the heart to kill the enemy, but I have no power to turn the tide, I die as I should, how happy, how happy!" Their souls were sublimated in the process of dedicating themselves to China, and it was they who turned the tide at a critical moment for Chinese culture. Today, China is gradually taking to the world stage, and Chinese culture is spreading to the world with the momentum of "a single spark can start a prairie fire," and behind this prosperity lies the sacrifice of those revolutionaries. They also taught us to cherish our country and nation, and to strive for the rejuvenation of China with our own strength.

Developing China. The Belt and Road Initiative has earned China high praise internationally. The establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has further introduced China to the world. China is facing the world with an inclusive and harmonious attitude. In addition to its outstanding performance in foreign exchanges, China has also adopted a strong stance in domestic reforms to address various contradictions. The central government has adopted various measures in domestic areas such as "sweeping away evil," combating corruption, and improving the ecological environment. The country's appearance is gradually becoming prosperous, and it is believed that in the near future, China will surely become a world power.

Peaceful China. "Universal love and non-aggression" is a concept proposed by Mozi, an ancient Chinese thinker. War has never been desired by the working people of ancient China. Throughout the dynasties, feudal rulers waged wars to expand their territories; "When the country prospers, the people suffer; when the country perishes, the people suffer" profoundly reflects the tragic situation of the working people. Today's China, with its growing national strength and advanced technology, maintains a peaceful stance towards the world. China's development of national defense technology adheres to the principle of defensive strength, striving to "not fire the first shot," while China's peacekeeping forces have left their mark on the world. "To stop war is the essence of Chinese martial arts, and this idea is also ingrained in each of us. China will surely become a dove of peace for the world.

China's resurgence is underway, and the Chinese nation is gradually emerging from the shadows of the past and moving towards prosperity. We, the new youth, should cherish our motherland, look to the world, and contribute our utmost to China's development.
